Our team has over five decades of combined experience working across the spectrum of financial services, offering clients a robust intellectual framework, deep domain expertise, and an outstanding investment track record.

David Cunio – CIO and PM

David is the co-founder and CIO of Three Body Capital, managing both the Three Body Fund and SLINGSHOT. He started his career at Capricorn Fund Managers in Johannesburg before relocating to London in 2009 to launch Capricorn's Global Emerging Markets fund.  Beginning with his experience in emerging markets, David has a keen interest in how narratives influence capital flows. He co-founded Three Body Capital in 2018, applying a narrative-driven approach to the firm's investments and risk management.

Eugene Lim – COO and PM

Eugene is a co-founder of Three Body Capital, where he co-manages the Three Body Fund and SLINGSHOT with David and oversees the business operations. He started his finance career in 2011 at Morgan Stanley's Asian Equities Sales team in London and joined CLSA in 2016 to help grow the firm's Southeast Asia business. Eugene co-founded Three Body Capital in 2018 with David after working together at Capricorn Fund Managers. He is also a CFA charterholder.

Lupo Maltzahn – Chairman

Lupo is the Chairman of Three Body Capital, bringing more than 25 years of experience and perspective to the team. He is a retired Senior Partner at Accenture, where he held various roles including heading up Accenture's Strategy practice in the UK and Ireland. Lupo provides invaluable advice and guidance to David and Eugene in managing and growing the business and provides oversight of investment and risk management processes.

Harry Spain – Head of Technology

Harry is Head of Trading Technology at Three Body Capital. Harry worked with David and Eugene at Capricorn Fund Managers in 2017. He went on to work with global tech firms including Google and Alibaba, and joined Three Body Capital in 2019. He plays a lead role in the development of proprietary software and systems, and manages a team of software developers in supporting and growing the firm's electronic/algorithmic trade execution requirements.
